Location:Parking Lot on Yucca Way and West 95th Avenue
Time:9am to 1pm
Description:
Save-the-Date: The 4th annual Candelas community tree planting event will be Sunday, April 21st! The backup date if there is inclement weather will be Saturday, April 20th. We are looking for 50 or more volunteers and 6 “site captains” to help plant 52 trees in areas where trees have died and need to be replaced. Each year this proves to be one of the best family opportunities to meet new neighbors, get your hands dirty for a good cause, and enjoy free food & beverages afterwards at Freedom Street thanks to local business sponsors such as Eric Carlson Family Insurance (ECFI), Wealth Strategies, and Ride N Shine. Children of all ages are welcome, as there will be plenty of trees from the past community events that need fresh mulch, stakes fixed, and other "TLC".
