Joseph F. Lanzetta
Hi, my name is Joe Lanzetta and I’m hoping to serve on the Vauxmont Board of Directors. My wife and I have lived in Candelas for over 5 years. Those of you who attend board meetings know I’m a frequent and active participant. I am also a member of the Finance Committee. I was actively involved in the search and selection of our current legal counsel and our new community management company. The savings from switching community management company has resulted in yearly savings of approximately 50% from around $600k to less than $300k . The Finance Committee’s next task is to investigate renegotiating our bond agreements.
My experience on the Finance Committee has given me a deep insight into the budgetary constraints and opportunities our community faces. I am committed to transparency, effective communication, and collaborative problem-solving and to developing a strategic plan to strengthen our financial standing.
Furthermore, I believe it is crucial to enhance community engagement through regular updates and open forums where residents can voice their concerns and suggestions. By working together, we can foster a stronger, more resilient community that meets the needs of all its members.
I look forward to the opportunity to serve on the Vauxmont board and contribute to the continued growth and prosperity of Candelas. Thank you for your support.
Rudy Nourse
Born and raised in Wisconsin, I’ve called Candelas home since 2020—and from the moment we arrived, my family and I have been embraced by this incredible community. We’ve built strong friendships and found a true sense of belonging here in Colorado. That’s why I’m stepping up: to give back to the neighborhood that has given so much to us.
With a background in the Elevator Union since 2008 and current experience as a foreman, I specialize in solving problems and leading teams. My job is to bring people together and get things done—and that’s exactly what I want to do for our neighborhood. Candelas is diverse, growing, and full of potential. We need leaders who will listen to everyone, not just a few voices, and make decisions that reflect the needs of the whole community.
I’ve been married to my wife for 17 years, and we’re raising our three children right here. You’ll often find me on the sidelines—except I don’t stay there long. Whether it’s coaching my boys’ sports teams or stepping in to help where it’s needed, I believe in showing up, lending a hand, and working together to build something better.
D. Blake Rehberg
My name is Blake Rehberg, and I am proud to call the Candelas home. My wife, our two sons, and I moved here just over a year ago from Tampa, Florida, after visiting friends who already lived in the neighborhood. We fell in love with this community and made the leap to move across the country specifically to be part of it.
I am a licensed attorney in Florida, practicing primarily in insurance defense. I was motivated to run for the Board after numerous conversations with friends and neighbors who sought my perspective on various community concerns. What stood out to me was not just the individual issues themselves, but the deeper frustration that many residents felt unheard. I decided I wanted to be someone who truly listens — and acts.
If elected, my primary goal is to ensure that every resident’s voice is heard and respected. I will also use my professional experience to seek ways to reduce our community's operational costs and work toward alleviating the burden of rising property taxes.I look forward to the opportunity to serve our community.
Jonathan Morse
Friends and Neighbors:
I am running for a seat on the Vauxmont Metropolitan District Board.
Candelas is our home. Nancy and I moved here 4 years ago from an HOA community in Reno NV. The homes were nestled in canyons with majestic vistas of the Sierras. The Town Center was a vibrant meeting place for individuals and families.
Candelas embodies many of the natural features we left behind. And Candelas is poised to mature to the level of beauty deserving of its placement at the foothills of the Rockies. And yet, there is work to be done. Vauxmont intersects with Cimmaron and Jefferson Central. Pending fiscal, liability and legal matters are complex. Much can be accomplished through fiscal responsibility, community-building, environmental stewardship and innovation.
To me, the important issues include safety, property value preservation and enhancement, amenities, engagement and enforcement...all guided by principled established rules and regulations.
Board service demands a background of business leadership. In addition to building a business from scratch to 50+ full-time employees, my career includes leadership roles on numerous National and local Boards. Familiarity with parliamentary rules of order were prerequisite.
In semi-retirement, I am caregiver to my wife, part-time school bus driver for Jeffco Schools and participant in transitioning homeowners from lawn to xeriscape via our Xerograss business.
I have the time, determination and experience to have an impact. Please support my candidacy, together we can ignite engagement all towards enhanced property values and sustainable quality of life.
Thank you.
